1992 Nissan Skyline Repair Question

1992 Nissan Skyline coming from engine area.
Noises problem
1992 Nissan Skyline 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 80000 miles
the noise starts most of the time while driving... a zinging high pitch...continues. and heard louder outside car.
is it the alterater not working or charging up the car??
Please help!
