Nissan Sentra Won't Start

I recently had water damage to my car during a storm. The car stalled in water that was midway to the tires. All of my electrical system still works, and the car acts like it wants to start, but will not turn over. Is my car a total loss? Also, my insurance company has taken the car to a dealership to run a diagnostic test on the engine. Do you think that the engine is completely gone?

Do you think that the engine is completely gone

If it cranks over and refuses to start I will start digging deep in the electrical system. The engine is okay it cranks over, it'll be different story if its not.
