1994 Nissan Primera Alt belt not turning

1994 Nissan Primera 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
When I turned on my A/C the car drove fine for @ 3 miles before my radio turned off. The car started to stall but never failed. I was able to drive home @ 1 mile turn the car off. The car would not crank but I was able to boost it. I noticed the flywheel and alternator belt was not turning. Not sure if the belt tension-er is going bad or if the belt is glazed over, or could the timing belt be broken and the car still run.
