1995 Nissan Prarie Front Wheel Drive Automatic 89848 miles
I have been having trouble with the alternator belt slipping. The alternator and A/C are on the same belt. The belt slipped off the wheel and I was looking at it and noticed the large wheel (for alt & A/C) slipped back toward the engine. My question is, should that wheel be tight, or does the wheel float and rely on the tightness of the belt to keep it centered?
