1991 Pathfinder Brakes

1991 nissan pathfinder 4wd 3.0L 235,000 miles....i am changing the front brake pads. i have an issue with getting the drivers side caliper to go back on. there are two bolts that hold the caliper on. i cant get the caliper mounts to go over the places where it has to mount. i tried to put it on the bottom first but it acts like something is wrong, kinda tight...the passenger side went right on. i have the cylinders collapsed as far as they will go. the place where the two screws mount have a rubber piece around them, do these move in and out? any suggestions?

Use a C-clamp and push that piston all the way in
