1987 Nissan Pathfinder Repair Question

1987 Pathfinder 4X4 3.0 engine has black smoke and quits run
My Nissan dies shortly after starting. checked onboard computer code 13 for Mass Air Flow sensor. Replace engine temp sensor, 02 sensor and water temp sensor. I can't seem to locate a vaccum diagram on this vehicle so I'm 100% sure all the lines are correctly connected. Is there anyway to test this air flow sensor as it is very pricey? I bought this vehicle as a project and it's been a nightmare! Any help greatly appreciated. Please send diagram to pstephens1@satx.rr.com. This vehicle has a replacement motor so I'm sure of the miles over 200000 on odometer

yes...either test it with a good known unit or use an oscilliscope and chk the wave form but scope are pretty professional tools which cost a lot and require experience to use and intrepret .. chk repair manual on this site...u should be able to get vac diagram
