Nissan Micra Heat Shield

Hi, I am wandering if anyone has had this problem before, the heat shield on my nissan micra 1997 is rattling and I was wandering what the best solution would be? Can I simply just pull it off? Can I simply tighten it? If so what should I be tightening and also looking for? Not 100% on car repair thats all! Any help would be gratefully received.

Hey Stuart,
Technically it should stay on. If you can tighten it Great. If its all rotted/rusty where it bolts then get an extra large hose clamp or put 2 or 3 together, rap it around the heatshield and tighten it that way. This will eliminate the rattle.

what should I be looking for as im not sure whats really what under the bonnet!

Something I should probably know a lot more about I feel!
