Hello,

I have a great little 1995 Nissan XE pickup, 192,000 miles and 2.4L engine. Two weeks ago, I noticed that upon first starting a trip, the truck is slow to shift out of first. Today, I couldn't get a lot of response out of reverse so I left it at home. I didn't think about checking the fluid because I just took it to Jiffy Lube and they always top off fluids. I know how to check transmission fluid, but if it is low, what kind of fluid does Nissan take. If it has a normal level, what would your educated guess be as to what the problem is?
