Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Other Nissan Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi I have an 89 nissan stanza 4 cylinder. I replaced the plug wires and the plugs, this car has 8 spark plugs 4 on the intake side and 4 on the exhaust side. It runs rough and misfires at times thats why I replaced the plugs and wires but it did not help. Is there any way to disable the intake side plugs without causing more problems or should I look at something else. Thanks

Do an engine compression and fuel pressure check and comeback with the readings.

The commpression is 133 on the 1st, 130 on the 2nd, 131 on the 3rd, 137 on the 4th. The fuel pressure is between 45 and 50 lbs. Thanks

Look below -fuel pressure border line -compression way over 20% tolerance-down side.

I rechecked the compression and on the 1st it is 155, the 2nd 160, the 3rd 157, the 4th 155. Thanks
