1993 Nissan NX 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 146 miles

hi i was just wondering what i need to do to change my head gasket. i have a chiltons manual, but i doesent explain specific things. i have my valve cover off, but i dont know how to position the cam gears so i can take the chain off to access the head. can u help? thanks
