2003 Nissan Murano Noise when accelerating

2003 Nissan Murano 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 71500 miles
When accelerating I hear a type of rattling noise coming from the engine. When I let off the gas, it seems to go away slowly, but as soon as you give it more gas and accelerate it comes back. It starts out loud during accererating but gets quieter after letting off the gas then goes away. At first it only happened when the car was cold, but now it happens all the time.
