97 Maxima, Auto, V6, 123K mile. Running fine. Dealer scanned the code and found multiple misfiring code. They checked and did not find actual problem. They said the ECM- engine computer module needs to be replaced. It is giving false code. Any suggestion? How can I turn off the light with out replacing the ECM? What will happen if I don’t replace it? Thank you in advance for your suggestion.

Wow what a dealer!

It is common for these ignition coils to go bad. It is standard practice to replace all 6 with updated coils.
