No Reverse Engagement

My 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE - 3.0 has 189K miles. I'd love to squeeze 2 more years out of it, BUT, while the car runs fine, the transmission will not engage in reverse. If feels like it wants to, but doesn't have the go-power to make it.

Am I looking at replacing - or maybe only a repair?

Might need a pressure test to decide what needs to be replace or fix or go for a rebuild.
