2005 Nissan Frontier fluid

Nissan matic J fluid is insanely priced. What fluid, if any can I use/mix in its place? Is there an equivalent?

I have asked every oil and fluid vendor I deal with the same question. Every one I have asked has said thet Dextron III or better will work. They have also sugested stepping up to Dex VI. I know at work we have a friction modifier additive, I dont know if it is avalible at retail parts stores but you may want to ask. If not we get it from EverWear.
