2004 Nissan Armada rear wiper problem

2004 Nissan Armada V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 58000 miles
when ever I start the engine or turn the key to on, the rear wiper moves even if the wiper switch is in off position. It moves a few times and then stops and it does not stop in the proper position. When we switch the wiper control to on, the wiper works for a few seconds the stops and will not turn back on unless you turn the switch off and on after a few minutes.
