Unable to do alignment - Take to Frame Shop

My mother bought a 2007 Nissan Altima brand new. There are less than 20,000 miles on the car. She took the car to NTB to have a tire replaced due to a nail. Once the tire was replaced she asked them to do an alignment. They came back to her and said that they were unable to due the alignment, because it was so out of whack and that she would need to take it to a frame shop in order to get the alignment done. Does this make any sense? The car has never been wrecked nor has she hit a curb of any sort. I take it as they are saying the frame is bent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

If the alignment is so far out as they say, you would have had problems with excessive tyre wear and steering problems, that would be very evident. I would suggest that their equipment or the operator is not working properly. Take it to a different aligner and try again, I feel that you will have no problems.
