My car recently lost all oil preasure and is sounding very rough. There is no oil leak and the car is not burning oi. upon inspection, I found that the car was properly filled with oil. So I want to replace the oil pump to see if that is the problem. I bought an oil pump and I asked a question of this forum last week but I think I was given the wrong information. The reply to my question told me to just remove the oil pan and there should be the pump. well I removed the pan today and nothing resembling the pump is in there, in fact the pump could never have fit bucause the pump is about twice the size of the opening. Here is a link to what I purchased. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

My car recently lost all oil preasure. How did you came about this-

Before you replace the oil pump unit-get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and hook it up to where the oil pressure sending unit is and read the oil pressure and give me the readings.

Do above first and I'll walk you thru the whole process. See below
