93 altima gxe, auto 194k. Extremely poor acceleration in 1st gear(have to floor it to get to 2nd), gets progressively better thru each gear. This problem is intermittent but lately a white smoke will come from underneath car when this happens, no odor. Has new fuel/air filter, spark plugs/wires. Is it the cap/rotor, mass airflow sensor or o2 sensor? The valve cover also has a prominent oil leak(needs 1 bottle a week to stay level).

You should have change the cap/rotor.Possibilities: TPS/MAF/VSS/and my favorite CTS sensors

Make sure you have a tight connection from the s/plug to the cap.

Oil leak try tightening it up.
