Anyone have any advise on what to do?

should I try cleaning the MAF sensor? How can I test it to make sure the MAF sensor is the problem?

If the MAF sensor is the problem, would that result in the car having a hard time starting and then unable to climb over 2500 rpms at any time?

thanks in advance

Yes, if the MAF is malfunctioning it can cause the PCM to not put enough fuel to the engine and it bogs down or has no power.

Based on this info we need to figure out the MAF sensor code first and foremost.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

Below you will find the process from the manual that will help with figuring this out. Please run through this info and let us know if you have questions on this.

Thanks
