2002 Nissan Altima - Vigorous Belt Rattle

With A/C on and when I place the vehicle in gear, the serpintine belt rattles vigorously. FYI: I recently had the alternator replaced. Is it possible that the tensioner worked it's way loose, or could the belt be bad? No visable signs of wear on belt...
