2001 Nissan Altima Replace Altima 2001 Cabin Air Filter

Air Conditioning problem
2001 Nissan Altima 4 cyl 93000 miles

Hi,

I tried to replace cabin air filter. I did remove the glove box assembly and could not see a filter cover tab. Do I have to completely remove the black box next to the fan?

Thanks

Do you think I need to dis-assemble the box to replace the filter?

hmm, none of my sources have anything about a cabin filter for 2001, only 2002 - 2004. Obviously from your pics I can tell there is indeed a filter there. The box will need to be taken apart for sure to get to the filter though.
