Rear struts

I ahve a 99 Nissan Altima with 150,000 miles. The rear end bounces and makes a God awful noise when hitting a bump. I know the rear struts are shot. Can I change these myself? Is it as simple as the shocks I use to change back in the 70's?

No They Are Completely Different From Shocks, And Are Alot More Dangerous, I Would Take It Somewhere To Get Them Changed
