Hello,when turning the ac on a squeling noise and burning smell came from the right front part of the engine compartment.Used off and on,then the lower belt snapped. I replaced the belt but loud squeling noise and burning rubber comes when turning the engine over with or without ac engaged.Question,could this be the ac clutch? and if I take the belt off,is it drivable? That belt services the ac wraps around a tensioner and also services the power steering? Without belt I will not have power steering or ac? As long as waterpump and alternator are run via larger serpentine belt than ok?
