1994 Nissan Altima gas tank filter
Interior problem
1994 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 112000 miles
The gas tank will overfolw after 5 gallons of gas are put in, even if it's on empty. I can get another 3-4 gal if I go very slow & easy & take breaks on the gas pump. Someone told me there is a vapor filter somewhere in the line from the gas cap to the tank. I found nothing in the owners manual. Is there a filter that needs replaced or is it another problem?

It is not a vapor filter, rather a EVAP charcoal canister to trap fuel vapor. Manual will not show you this item. Get a Haynes or Chilton manual, these will show you where the canister and the solenoid valve are, and how to check them.
