1991 Nissan 300ZX alternator belt

1991 Nissan 300ZX 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 100000 miles
Hi my name is alex and i own a 91 300zx TT and just recently my fan belt that connects to my alternator broke. I took out the radiator and everything but i can't get the belt to fit over the fan pully and the alternator pulley, even after i loosened the alternator and moved it closer. I know its the rite belt I just can't get it to fit. Is there a specific order im supposed to do it in? what do you think?
