1990 Nissan 240SX lifter noise
I am looking into buying a 90 Nissan 240 sx with about 95K mi. I have talked to toe seller and he said it has what he thinks is lifter noise. I have not herd it myself. is there any known factory / common defects that could cause that noise?

I just replied to a smiliar question a minute ago. It could be dirt blocking the lifter from filling with oil. Try running ATF with the oil to act as a detergent and it should clear it up. If not it could be the timing chain rubbing
