When do them, it is from under the vehicle. If you can, jack the car up and secure it on jack stands so it is safe. Then from under the vehicle, you will be able to get the plugs.

Please if anyone has any ideas let me know.
The Problem: I went to change my spark plugs and after I changed them my car wouldnt crank up agian. I then changed them with 2 other sets as well as diff. Brands. Same results. I even tried ones that didnt need re-gapped and ones that did. I even put the original plugs and wires back in. What happens is when I turn it over is stutters for a few secs. And may or may not spit and sputter before backfiring thru my intake then dying. Now I took it to a dealrship and they are saying they cant find whats wrong with it. They say my plugs, wires, ignition coils, exhaust ecg valve is all fine. They say they cant find anything wrong. They say my compression is fine as well. Any ideas? The car was running fine when I parked it and then the next day I changed the plugs and bam. Thanks in advance.
PS also my check engine light is not on and I even used the odbII scanner to verify no trouble codes and reset my pcm

Normally I would say the firing order is incorrect. I ran across this in my book.
"If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason, it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your guide to reflect how your engine is wired."

I would think that trail and error is your only recourse.
Don't you just hate that.

Good luck and please let us know.

Are you experiencing rough idle, if not could be the valve cover gasket leaking. Oil in the cylinder is bad news.

Yeah the idle was pretty rough.I think that maybe the oil is only on the top of the spark plugs not in the cylinder head.I just looked at them. Does it cost alot to have a new valve cover put on or is it easy to do urself?

Theres oil on the spark plugs. On the inside the threads and tip. Ive had the car about 6 months it started mis firing on night 3. Go to figure return policy was 3 days. Few days ago I let it idle for 15 mins and it misfirerd so much it almost died. Let it sit for 3 hours then started the car up (7 mins away from home) and it would barly move made it home and it died when I put it in park at home and reved the engine just a tiny bit it died and wouldnt start back up. If figured spark plugs and wires. Change them just to find out every spark plug had oil on it from tip to top thread. Ive noticed there a simi bad oil leak and it runs down basicly all sides of the oil pan. Im not sure if its coming for the pan or something above it. Thank you in advance for any anwser you give me!

Check compression and have it looked at for bad valve seals. That may be the cause of the misfire.

I heard that the seals would make it leak on to the tops of the plugs and on boot. Not inside the chamber itself. Is this true. How could I do that test at home. Does autozone rent those tools. Or just a shop do it.

If the car turns over you can do the test and yes you need special tools for it. If the oil I son outside of plug then it may be a valve cover but do the compression test anyhow. But if it doesn't run have a pro look at it he'll know what to do.

The car has been stalling out when ever it rains, but has always started back up. Today it wont start back up. You can hear that she wants to start but almost seems like she isn't getting enough gas. When I tried to turn it over I didn't smell gas at all. My husband said we should change the spark plugs so the three we could get to have been changed. No difference, still wont start. Noticed oil on the spark plugs. Any ideas? I had to call into work today and I don't want to miss anymore time. Thank you.

You need to start by checking to see if the fuel pressure is within spec and if you are getting spark to the plugs. Then you will know which system to focus on. To make it easy, see if the engine will start with starting fluid. If it does, then you have a fuel system issue. Most likely the fuel pump. If it doesn't start, then it is ignition related.
