When installing cam synchronizers or cam position sensors a pro has to use his machine to put the crank and cam sensors in time with each other otherwise you'll end up with what you have. You can't do it by yourself as the auto parts scanners are not able to do that. They can only read engine/trans codes and clear them nothing else.

You either
A) did not understand the question
B) did not read/review the link that I provided
C) have NO clue about what I was asking
Nowhere, but nowhere on the web, does anybody state that I have to take the vehicle to the dealer for programing!

You need a special tool to align this correctly or there is another thing you can do but for liability I cannot give that one to you. You don't need to go to a dealer any garage can handle it. I'll put you in for refund.

Keep your money. We are not of the same page at all, and yes, I have the alignment tool. Really, keep your money and have a $5.00 beer.

See if these pics will help you out. We are given no indication of where tdc is on this engine not even from ford but if you bring #1 to compression that mark on balancer can be brought up to tdc and should be it. Pics show complete instructions however they are small andi can't reproduce them any larger.

Thank You for all the research. And the added effort. Here is my question: Before I install the camshaft synchronizer, do I place the engine at 0 TDC mark | at the index pointer OR at the 26 degree ATDC spot at the pointer(of the crankshaft)? Thanks!

F you read the instructions that I sent it says to place engine at TDC #1 compression stroke. It's in the very first pic I sent in last reply. Use the mark that comes up on balancer
