My key was stuck in the ignition between accessory and lock positions.

I've been having trouble getting the key in and out of the ignition. I've had to push it in really hard and wiggle it a bit. When I went to turn off the car today, the key wouldn't come out. Looking at it closer, the key was stuck between accessory position and lock position. I was able to remove the key, but I don't want to risk getting it stuck again. What can I do? What is the issue?

Sounds like the ignition cylinder is binding up. What size engine do you have?

It's 2.4L, I think. I don't know much about cars.

Looks like the ignition cylinder only comes with the whole ignition housing not seperately like most cars. Usually what happens is as the tumblers in the ignition cylinder wear the dust from them bind the cylinder up.
