I have a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider with 88,000 miles.I just got it .When I reach the speed of between 30 and 45 mph there is a vibration that sounds like its coming from the drive train or possible rear wheels,I can't tell for sure.At lower or higher speeds the vibration is not there. When it is noticieble it sounds like its something that is off balance, like a on and off feeling. It roars then lets off the roars then lest offf in a period of a second or two.Is this a CV joint or some bearing issue? :(

start with checking the wheel balance also check the rims to see if they have are bent at all. out of balanced tires can cause vibrations at different speeds.
