I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 3.0 V6. It currently has over 147,000 miles, but runs pretty good most of the time. My major concern is this screeching/grinding sound it makes in the rear of the car, namely around the tires and brakes. It does this as the car is in motion, when I apply the brakes, its stops and then comes back on as I begin to drive again. I had my front brake pads replaced over a year ago, so I think its the drums or rotors, what should I do? Also, the brake light has come on intermittently and that's never happened, could it be related? I don't want to bring it to the dearlership because they'll overcharge me and can't be trusted. Any info and help regarding this problem is most appreciated. Thank you.
