Overheating While Idling

Whenever my 2001 Eclipse GS is in park the temp. guage runs hot but as soon as i start to go it goes back down. I haver replaced the thermostat and still the problem presists. I was wondering if there is anything i can do. I have an aftermarked cold air intake on it, could that be the problem. Please help. :(

i have the same problem with my eclipse. '01, 2.4L, RS, 75,000miles. i do not have a cold air intake but i also have been experiencing the heating up at idle. i found originally the coolant was low so i added it a few times until i found the leak. i fixed the hose and it was good for a while but now its doing it again. and i cant find any more leaks
