LOW OIL PRESSURE ECLIPSE
I own a 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0 DOHC (non-turbo). The car has 90,000 miles and is due for a tune up. It burns about 1-2 quarts of oil between changes. Recently, I have noticed that the oil pressure gauge drops below the low level when I am stopped at idle. As I accelerate, the gauge reaches the low level. In the past, the gauge had flucuated beteen the high and low levels and never dropped below the low level. I checked the oil level and it is fine. Do you think that the oil pressure is really that low or is the sending unit bad?
