Check engine light
1997 misubishi gallant. 120000 miles. 2.4 16 valve engine.
I recently had a 120k service done at an independent repair shop, because the closest dealer to me is 2 hours away. The service included a timing belt, water pump, balance shaft belt, timing belt tensioner, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters. Car ran great before servicing.
After the service the car would intermittently jerk and the check engine light would come on. This only lasts for about 1 to 2 seconds. I brought it back and was told the ecu had over 10 codes stored in it, indicating it needed to be replaced. I had that replaced and oops it did again. No codes stored this time. What the heck got messed up?
