My 98 Eclipse is in a shop 200 miles away from my home - it was towed there with my 18 year old daughter. The repair shop will be calling me shortly to let me know what is wrong. My daughter said that it has to do with the "pressure valve" - the speedometer quit first - she pulled over - the car began "smoking" and burnt transmission fluid came out of the car. Does this mean a belt has broken? a Pressure valve blew off?
