I am able to do minor routine maintenance on my car (change sparks plugs, air filter, hoses, and fluids.) I had my car tested for emissions and it failed due to "Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A circuit Malfunction." Does this mean I need to clean the throttle sensor or is it something else? If it's just the cleaning of the sensor, could you give detailed info as to where it is located and if it needs any type of special replacement ie. gasket or sealant, to keep the pressure?

Here are two pictures of which one I suspect it to be.
Thanks.
