1996 Mitsubishi Mirage CHUGS AFTER U HIT THE KEY

I bought the car after the timing belt snaped, some one put one on, it wouldnt start. They sold it to me, I pulled the head off 10 bent valves. Had that taken care of new head bolts, valves, timed it put all back 2 gether an wont start. Checked injector pulse, fuel presser, compresion, spark jst chugs or almost tries to start after u let off the key. Doesnt seem to throw spark untll 3 or 4 sec after u hit the key. Paid to shops to tell me they don know. Please help

Have you tried to retrieve for trouble codes?

Problem could be due to fault with the Crank or cam shaft position sensor. I would suggest checking those first.

The crankshaft position sensor is located at the crankshaft sprocket so it is more likely to be the cause as the timing belt was replaced and work was done on it.
