1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Repair Question
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Engine Problem!
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 65000k miles
My girlfriend has a mitsubishi lancer 2001 model cedia CS2 with a GDI engine and CVT transmission. The problem is that the engine usually cuts off sometimes when driving or when in traffic. Can you please advise, thanks!
Usually the throttle body needs to be cleaned and the inlet as well. The bucket filter on the high pressure fuel pump has to be replaced as well. They are known to get trouble with the fuel pumps(HP) but I think the best way is to get it to a Mitsi dealer as the technicians will know what and where to look for compared to other non mitsi technicians.
There is a special product sold by MMC to slean the inlet manifold and it's called "schuma"
Let me know how you get on.

I had had that exact problem and the throttle body was cleaned and this solved the issue.
