Have had frequent problems with heater since I got the care when it was new
When moving the nob from cold to warm, frequently have fan noise
Used AC once this year about a week ago, now my heat will not work
Changed fuses
see that it could be the heater core from other articles that I have read.
Any ideas? Have an easy way to fix?
Do you
have the same problem?

I have a 2003 Galant as well and had the same problem there was a funny noise coming from the dash everytime I would try to turn the heat on and sometimes it would work other times it wouldn't. But if your 2000 Galant is the same as my 03 Galant you might want to check your heater control vavle motor, it's the motor that opens and closes your heater control valve and if it burns out and the valve is close you will no longer be able to adjust your heat. Good luck

I had this same problem with my mitsubishi galant for a year and here's how I fixed it: I replaced the heater core, but after I replaced the core, it was still blowing cold so I checked the lines leading to the core. I took a pressure washer and flushed the lines, and after I hooked the lines back up, I had heat. Hope this helps.
