My car recently had its head sent to a machinist shop for repairs after the timing belt teeth delaminated away from the belt itself. I got it back and it runs great. Virtually no noise while idling or during low rpms. Once I try to accelerate past 3000 rpms. The engine gets noticably louder and I can fell alot of vibration through the gas peddle. It also is very noticable when shifting to a higher gear. ( If I had a clutch it would sound like I never took my foot off the gas while changing gears). Other than that the car works and feels great. If you guys have any idea of what it might be I would greatly appreaciate it.

I checked the air filter (pretty new conditon) and the intake. Everything is nice and tight.

it sounds like plenty of air is getting into the engine after 3000 rpms, just no significant acceleration.

Hi toenail10,

The balancer shaft belt has not been installed correctly causing the vibration.

If accelerating power is not as good as it should be, the timing belt is also not installed correctly.
