THe fuel filter for this car is in the fuel tank with the fuel pump here is a guide and diagrams below to show you how to change it out. The pump has a trap door which is nice so you don't need to drop the tank

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers

There is only a in tank filter in the pump, normally you do a fuel flow & pressure test and if it is below spec's you replace the pump.

If no fuel filter is found at the firewall, it would be in-tank, together with the fuel pump access from under the rear seat.

Under the back seat remove the cover then remove the fuel pump. The strainer is on the bottom.

Mounted on bulk head to right of brake booster. Kinda tricky to get off bolt on banjo fitting VERY tight and comes off best with air wrench. Line on bottom will need metric line wrench

There is no scheduled maintenance interval for your fuel filter. Only replace it if the engine is struggling for fuel. A bad / clogged fuel filter will cause poor fuel mileage and may cause a poor idle condition due to the engine starving of fuel, but it is very rare for a faulty fuel filter to prevent the engine from starting.
