Water leaking from the evaporator drain tube. Had compressed air blown in but it still leaks in my driver's side flooring. I have to put a rag underneath where the leak goes. I don't know what to do. Please help.

Hi mr jay,

If water is accumulating, the drain hose is clogged and you woudl need to use a wire or other similar equipments to dig into the drain hole after removing the hose.

Compressed air sometimes donot work as debris inside would only move away and when water accumulates, the debris would be washed onto the drain hole clogging it again.

I had the exact same problem with mine, I also have a '01 galant, after many moons trying to find out what the problem was, (hangers, compressed air, pipe cleaners) I found a TSB on this, I dont have the number but the problem is a bad FOAM seal between the evaporator and firewall, they should have used rubber I think, I just pulled the carpet back and globbed silicone around the tube where it goes into the firewall and that fixed the problem. I hope this helps

I need to know exactly where (Pictures if possible) the condensation drain is located. I've looked at the firewall for a small elbow shaped hose pointing downward to no avail.

I have water pooling in the floorboards and a noise in the fan when I make a left turn, it is apparent that the condisant drain is plugged, but I have been unable to locate from under the vehicle. Can you point me in the right area so I can blow it out and get it draining again?

Thanks!

You might want to to take door trim off and lift carpet up to dry
