2001 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl Automatic 135000 miles

My car was parked in a parking lot and it was still running. About 10 minutes later the car just shut off. When trying to start it back up it made a noise as if it wanted to start but couldn't.I stepped on the gas and it didn't even "REV" up. As I was looking at the dash I noticed that the needles weren't even moving like usual

Maybe it is your alternator.
