1999 Mitsubishi Galant Rough idle and poor acceleration aft

I'm not quite sure what is wrong, but I have an idea. My car recently started acting up when I start it and about for a minute or two after that. When I start it the engine it idles rough like it may not be getting enough gas and the check engine light comes on. It dosent die though. I put it into gear and can drive but it jerks and won't accelerate well for about the first minute or two of driving. After that all of a sudden it starts to take off and goes back to normal and dosent do it again unless I shut it off and let it cool completely back down before restarting. Any sugestions?

Im having the same problem but sometimes it wont do it I was told to change the fuel filter, but it was fine for the first hour then the jerking came back with poor acceleration. I would like to know wat this problem is also
