Hi there, I live in Miami. I have a similar problem to the people whos car will not start after driving for 30 mins. This happens to me but the engine won't turn at all. I've replaced 2 Starters and the problem remains. The only way it will start is hitting the starter a couple times. can you guys help me out please.[img:4971f35b51]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/412404_PICT1275_1.jpg[/img:4971f35b51]

Hi jsilvestre,

Thank you for the donation.

Knocking the starter to get it to crank means a fault with the starter.

Were the replaced starters new, used or rebuilts?

Thanks for your response. The starters were both bought @ auto parts. I understand that there is a fault in the starter, but why exactly is the car not cranking up after a long drive of 35 mins or so. Do you guys think that changing the starte (buying it from the dealer) would eliminate the problem. Also, when I tend to drive with the ac on is when the problem occurs the most. Is there an electrical problem there as weell. Really confused guys.

Get the charging system tested. If the charging system is functioning correctly and problem occurs, it could be the wiring connectors.

Dealer part would definitely be better as they are OEM while auto parts are from different source and were the parts new or reman?
