Hello, I just had both the front and rear valve cover gaskets replaced. How long before it stops smoking or should I have it looked at? Im asking because it is still smoking about 4 hours after those gaskets we're replaced. Thank you for your time.

Hi sharky34,

If the smoking is from the rear exhaust, you have done nothng to rectify it by replacing the valve cover gaskets.

If the smoking is from the exhaust under the engine, you need to check if there are any other leakages. The time for it to dry up should not be very long, an hour should be more than enough.
