Air Conditioning problem
2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 150K miles

The A/C blows out warm air only. I press in ac button and it stays on. Fans in front of the radiator are working. Compressor seems working. Tried to charge a can of R134 but the substance did not want to go in. Checked ac fuse and it is good. Switched ac relay with horn relay and the ac problem was the same. I live in Dallas, TX and it is hot here. I appreciate any input to fix the ac issue.
Thank you

OK, I'm not an A/C pro -- but I've changed 2 cars from R12 to R134a and swapped out comprerssors and worked on AC leaks in an additional 10 cars or more.

So my 2 cent advice is either that your A/C comprressor is not working or you have a bad expansion valve and its just stopped the flow and mayvbe that's why it won't take a charge -- cause it is full. Or a wild answer might be that your vent selector is not working and the evaporator coil is not getting air out. Hard to imagine that though.

Have you actually watched your A/C clutch to make sure its kicking on? Start there.
