1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse not OBD ready

We just bought a 97 Eclipse. When we took it to emissions they said that it's not OBD ready. How do we fix this problem?

The battery was disconnected
and or the computer memory was rest
all you can do is drive the car for the computer to complete its monitoring tests
and when it does it will be ready
you may have to drive 50 to 100 miles
