Brakes problem
2006 Mini Cooper S 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 90700 miles

I have my car in for a break job right now and I am being told that they can't crank the piston in the caliper back in because I wore the pads down too low. Is this possible or are they just taking me for extra work? Any help or info would be very helpful. Thanks.
