2005 Mini Cooper S 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 50K miles
Reported that my valve cover gasket is starting to leak, along with the oil pan gasket. Told that the rubber seal is failing because of high heat of engine, combined with cold weather resulting in rubber seals hardening. In addition, charcoal canister associated with the evap emission system has failed as a result of weld break. Are these indicators of bigger problems to come? Am I being fed some BS? Total cost ~$1500.
